Florida Propane Gas Appliance Rebate Program
The Propane Education Foundation of Florida (PEFF) designed this program to promote the adoption of propane-powered appliances. This progam will run from December 1, 2017 to December 1, 2020 or until funds are exhausted.
Florida Appliance Rebates
$50 – $250 rebate for the safe installation of a propane water heater, furnace, range/stove, gas logs, space heater or clothes dryer. New construction or replacement.
Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 established the tax credit for energy improvements to existing homes. The credit was originally limited to purchases made in 2006 and 2007, with an aggregate cap of $500 for all qualifying purchases made in these two years combined.

Fannie Mae Green Initiative
The Fannie Mae Green Initiative provides owners of multifamily properties (rental or cooperative properties with 5 or more units) with valuable green financing solutions and tools to make smart energy- and water-saving property improvements. Its green financing programs include Green Rewards, Green Preservation Plus, and the Green Building Certification Pricing Break, all of which are eligible for a 10 basis points (0.1%) reduction in the all-in interest rate.
Business Energy Investment Tax Credit (ITC)
Fuel Cells. The credit is equal to 30% of expenditures, with no maximum credit. However, the credit for fuel cells is capped at $1,500 per 0.5 kilowatt (kW) of capacity. Eligible property includes fuel cells with a minimum capacity of 0.5 kW that have an electricity-only generation efficiency of 30% or higher. (Note that the credit for property placed in service before October 4, 2008, is capped at $500 per 0.5 kW.)
Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MARCS)
The Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) is the current tax depreciation system in the United States. Under this system, the capitalized cost (basis) of tangible property is recovered over a specified life by annual deductions for depreciation.
PERC’s Propane Construction Incentive Program
Adding propane performance to homes is a win/win for you and your customers. Here’s why: you can earn an extra $1,000 for each new home or remodel completed in 2022, just for installing propane appliances. You can also receive a $500 regional bonus for installing specific propane appliances for your area. And there’s no limit to the number of homes you can submit for incentives. PERC’s Propane Farm Incentive Program
Sponsored by the Propane Education & Research Council, the Propane Farm Incentive Program is a research program that provides a financial incentive up to $5,000 toward the purchase of new propane-powered farm equipment. In exchange, participants agree to share real-world performance data with PERC.
