Propane is a home energy upgrade that gives your customers superior comfort and lower energy costs compared with all-electric homes. That’s why, for builders and remodelers alike, adding propane performance is a significant competitive advantage. The Propane Construction Incentive Program offers a monetary incentive to Builders, Building Contractors or Remodeling Contractors up to $1,000 for each home built or remodeled with qualifying Propane appliances, plus a $500 regional bonus for installing specific propane appliances in your area.

Visit Propane.com/ConstructionIncentive to learn more, determine if you qualify, apply, or reserve your incentive for a project not yet completed. As a part of the application process, you must also submit a home energy analysis from the Energy Planning Analysis Tool (EPAT) for each project in order to qualify. The EPAT is an easy to use, online tool that calculates potential energy use and modeled emissions data about your homes, which must be included with your application.

Qualifying and selected construction professionals receive a monetary incentive2 for building or remodeling homes using propane appliances. To be eligible, a home must include at least one of the following propane appliances: a boiler or furnace; hydronic air handler; combi boiler; tankless or storage tank water heater; a hybrid heat pump with propane gas emergency heat.

Verification of installed appliances should be provided by a completed gas check, or similar form, performed by a propane supplier.

2022 Program Details

The Propane Education & Research Council will pay you up to $1,000 for each new home or remodel completed in 2022, if you include qualifying propane appliances. You can also earn a $500 bonus for installing propane appliances specified for your region. That’s $1,500 per home. Funding is limited, and certain restrictions apply, so get your application in as soon as possible by following these steps.
